When we started having kids, I and my husband made a commitment to always go on ‘’bonding trips’’
You know, take the kids on quick weekend vacations and just have fun. It has not been easy keeping up to it, but sometimes we just force ourselves to get up and move.
On one such trip, one of my kids fell asleep in the back seat of the car and woke up with a stiff neck. Looking back it was a little scary. He just woke up and gave out a big scream. Startled my husband hit the brake, we just couldn’t understand why he had given out such a crazy wild scream.
…we finally found out he had probably gotten the stiff neck from the way he allowed his head to drop while sleeping.
This was exactly why when I saw this inflatable car bed HERE I completely fell in love with it.
It’s inflatable so I can just deflate and pack into the trunk on road trips, whenever we need it we just pull it out, inflate and put it inside the car and it sits prettily.
It gets a little crampy when my kids sleep on it but it’s better than sleeping with necks hanging at awkward positions, plus the good part is they absolutely love it. It’s completely fun for them to just pull it out, inflate and just lie down on it while we drive.
This was where I got mine = >
If you do long car trips where you’d need to sleep in the car from time to time. Or you ever do stops where you’d have to wait for someone and the need for a quick nap would come up, then I think this would be a quick fix.
Because the truth is told, there have been cases where I have used the inflatable bed myself. I had taken one of my kids to a school entrance examination where I had to hang around and wait for him, I simply just pulled the bed out and had a good sleep.
‘’Must Read if You Have a Car That Runs on Battery’’ Man Reveals Graphic Story.
In 2016, I nearly got killed. First by my housekeeper and then my car almost finished me off.
It had been just so surreal, I have read things like this happening to people in stories and I’ve seen it in movies, so when it actually happened to me it left me shocked to the bones.
Here is how it happened.
I am always busy so I hired a housekeeper to help come in and clean up then cook sometimes. One day I noticed that one of my watches was missing. That wristwatch had cost a lot of money and the first person that came to mind was the guy.
When I asked he denied ever setting eyes on the wristwatch talk more of taking it. I didn’t believe him so I involved the police. After much questioning, they let him off the hook.
But I wasn’t convinced so I called him one day and relieved him of his job.
I later found the wristwatch had fallen into a crack in the cabinet where I keep them. I felt remorseful I had accused the guy falsely, made a mental note to reach out and apologize. But somehow I forgot.
And this was the beginning of my problem.
I remember that fateful night.
I had returned late as usual and fell asleep in my work clothing. And I was in that position when I woke up with a start. Something had woken me up but I didn’t know what it was. I stayed on my bed, wide awake and listening.
The door to my room burst open and there he was, my housekeeper, standing over me with a knife. He was with someone else and the guy was urging him on.
I couldn’t believe my eyes, it felt like a dream. He made his first thrust and the knife pierced my arm. I gave out a wild cry and sprang up, trying to force my way out of the room. At that moment that was all my mind screamed for. Run! Get Out!
As I tried to push past them, the other guy stabbed me. Well, at that point I didn’t know I had been stabbed. I just felt a sharp pain tear through the side of my body. I managed to get out while screaming at the top of my voice.
My assailant panicked and ran past me. I could just see them in the dark as they scrambled by. Still screaming, I limped towards my car and fell down just when I was at arm’s length. I must have screamed very loud because a neighbour came out, saw me in a pool of my blood and rushed to where I was.
‘’I’m bleeding out’’. I said. ’Take me to the hospital‘’ and I passed out.
When I came through I was told my neighbour carried me to his car. But he had tried to start it and the car had sputtered to life then had died immediately. They tried again and it only made a little sound and died.
The battery was dead. And all these while I was there, bleeding.
They had to call another neighbour who offered to take me to the hospital because they didn’t see my car keys when they searched my house.
Which is funny because I had a car battery jump starter in the trunk and the trunk was open. It’s a device you can use to jump-start your car whenever the battery runs down. Plus it immediately starts charging it the moment it comes on.
Really cool stuff and a must have for your car. CHECK IT OUT HERE.
They never found the men that attacked me. And the doctor said I had been lucky. The knife had gone quite close to vital organs.
